Oatmeal Stout aged in Tequila Barrels: 8.5% // Classic oatmeal stout aged 1 year in Anejo tequila barrels. Toasty roasted barley brings chocolate notes while the tequila barrel brings the earthy- cinnamon space agave flavors of classic Jalisco produced Anejo tequila.

I usually don't rate beers tried during a festival but I had this gem twice at the beggining of the night and it left a clear impression. All the smoothness of an excellently crafted oatmeal stout with the added complexity of the tequila-barrel complementing the overall taste Profile. Nice contrast of flavors - roasted malt, bitter chocolate, toasted grains, hints of coffee followed by a citrus and floral kick driven by the tequila with a peppery finish. So smooth, so unique in the contrast but it all works wonderfully.
