Brewed for the annual Paderewski Festival. Paderewski was a virtuoso pianist, accomplished composer, generous humanitarian, skilled politician and great Polish patriot. He traveled regularly to Paso Robles starting in 1914, and ultimately became a local winegrower and vintner.
This beer is dry-hopped with Polish hops, and then kegged without filtration.

Firestone Keller Pils bottle purchased at a discount retailer in a mixed case. The beer at 40 F was poured into a glass.
The beer has the right color and haze for a Keller Pils. However, the malt and hop characters don't seem melded together right. There is just no pizzazz. The taste is generally true to style, since German pils often seems uninspired.

On-tap at Firestone Walker Visitor's Center Tasting Room, Paso Robles, CA
A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of grassy hops along with hints of bready malts and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite grassy in both the smell and taste, setting it apart from the typical floral-noble hops that you get in Czech Pilseners.
Serving type: on-tap
