Ruby brown and clear under a finger of tan foam that trailed lace arms down the glass... Alright, so blends Firestone Walker Bretta Rose, Undercurrants, and Whale Rock with Ommegang's Rare Vos and Liefman's Cuvee... Tannic and tart with tangy fruits and dryness... It's something like biting into a blackberry and drinking champagne with oak chips in your mouth - too weird? lol ...Appreciate the dry instead of sweet approach... Chewy yeasts add to the funkiness and leave a blanket across the palate... Very elegant, dry, and complex - lots of tart berry fruits and airy woods - and the fruits, ranging from white grape to black currant - are very juicy but not necessarily sweet... Feel is puckering, carbonated, a little tacky and shellacky - very refreshing... Lotsa (French) oak lingers behind... This was a $15 bottle (375 mL @ 6.5% abv) at Total Wine on Long Island... I recommend buying one if you're into sours and wild ales and the like - it's very nice...

Poured from a bottle - clear cherry/grape juice with berry tinted head leaving some foamy lacing. Nose is mostly a mix of dark fruit. Taste follows with a bit of tart/sour notes and a hint of barrel. Quite nice for the style, finishes on the dry side with lingering fruit tartness.

Appearance: Pours clear and cherry juice colored with a slight rusty tinge; the head has a vague hint of mauve and rises to two fingers; splashes lacing
Smell: Blended berry aromatics, with the currant and cherry forward and raspberry in the mix
Taste: Tart cherry and raspberry forward becoming increasingly sour as the currants impact; quite vinous, through the middle, with burgeoning oak; the finish is surprisingly dry with lingering tart tones in the back
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: A wallop of tart berry flavors but really dry at the end

375 ml bottle
Appearance: Slightly cloudy violet color. The beer has a generous-sized light violet head that slowly faded with nice good lacing. Nice looking wild ale.
Smell: Tart berries, grapes, mild barnyard funk and mild hay/grassy notes.
Taste: Tart grapes, berries, mild barnyard funk, and moderate citrus notes, While it's hard to distinguish the individual berries, the us of the different type of berries results in a nice level of complexity in the taste profile. The beer has a mildly dry finish that features the grapes notes in the end.
Mouth-feel: on the light side of medium-bodied with a medium level of carbonation. The carbonation brings a nice sparkling feel to the beer but the body has a nice level of heft to it.
Overall: A very tasty wild ale. The use of different berries resulted in a nice flavor profile with good complexity. i'm definitely glad I picked up a few of these.

This one is pretty righteous. I mean, it’s good like a home cooked meal. Then again, it’s only a home cooked meal. (And if you know Raul, sometimes he’s feeling 5 stars, ya know?) Like yeah, this one is light and clean like Simon Biles doing a flip and stuff. But Raul is 6’3”, and although he would date any size, 5’10” is more of a treat to him.
Yep!
