Had this in August 2019, this was a pit stop on the way to see the Rolling Stones at the Rose Bowl. 1st review here on BA.
Pours a yellow with a thin 1/4" white head. Clarity was not strong. The aroma was the best part of the beer, put forth some citrus and stone fruit notes.
Taste, was a lesson in "what happened?" What smelled like a nice mix of typical citrus and less typical stone fruit, the taste of beer settled into standard pale ale territory, it just didn't bring that stone fruit aspect into its taste game. Instead a more green vegetal herb note came in, like they dropped some dillweed from the spice rack into the beer. Mouth feel was fine, there was the standard pale malt and lightly toasted two row barley going on, relatively crisp given the not super clean appearance. Just had more of a tree and herb taste vibe going for it after the nice nose. I don't know what proprietary hop this was, but maybe its just better in dry hopping as opposed to every stage of hop usage.
