Quite light. A light gold color in general but bright yellow when near any bit of light.
A splotchy, lasting white head that rescinds into a decent lasting layer. Citrus notes like a lemon lime soda. With not so much tropical but cantaloupe like flavors in the beer. A a very smooth and creamy beer that almost reminds of a really smooth witbier. Very sessionable and I would definitely try again.
Brewed on 4/14/21 and consumed on 6/18/21. This beer was over a year old and held up extremely nicely, especially for a Hazy IPA, and one that showcases a specific hop at that. I usually wouldn't post a singular review on such an old beer, as the length of time may be considered sacrilege, but I think the quality that I enjoyed from this one warrants it. The initial aroma from the bottle had some slightly off hop notes but I didn't detect any of it while drinking.

Definitely lighter tasting, with a little more lemon leaning than the grapefruit and tangerine flavors. My can says 5.6%. I probably would like this better during a hot summer day but this is a cool March day and so it is good but not top of the line. If you like the description I've given in a beer, you'll like this one.

3/4/21...Pours semi-clear gold with some latent haziness. Foam settles away. Grapefruit filled nose, other hints of melon. Clean thin taste, quick bitter. Closes w/ a tropical flavor. Lemons work in. Real fruity and with just a modest bitter.

A pretty light IPA has everything you expect from the Citra hop profile lemon zest bitterness and a crisp finish but to me it just seemed kind of forgettable nothing stood out to make me want another. At least the price is right got a bottle for just a couple bucks.

Firestone Walker Brewing Co. "Propagator Series Citra Hazy IPA"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, "BOTTLED ON: 041421 1929 02"
$1.99 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: Citra IPA you say? Bring it on! It's poured a hazy golden body beneath a finger's width of fluffy bright white foam that seems to be holding quite well. Plenty of bubbles can be seen steadily rising inside the glass, and the head is made up of both large and small bubbles. It's a fairly loose head but that's fine. As you might expect, it smells like Citra hops over a delicate golden malt base. It's lemony, limey, grapefruity, orange-like, and a touch tropical as well (think lychee, guava, mango). On to the taste... well it's pretty much exactly as the aroma suggests it will be, but even fuller. The malt is kept basic to allow the hop flavor to come through, and the sweetness of the malt is at the perfect level to elevate those flavors. A firm bitterness balances it and leads to a dry finish in combination with the acidity of the hops. It lingers with notes of sweet lemon/lime and lychee. The head has now dropped, although there is a thin but solid surface covering, and the lacing that it's left behind is only a bit better than average. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp without becoming zesty. As it stands I find it very hard to find fault with this beer. If the point was to showcase the Citra hops they've nailed that, and the beer itself is really nicely rounded and balanced. It's really quite easy to drink, as it should be at just 5.6% ABV. Superb!

Pours a hazy pale yellow. Light foam. Citrus aroma. Big bitter citrus body. Lemon flavor fades quickly. Clean finish. It's missing something. Definitely a one trick pony.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip
A- pours a hazy pale yellow with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a ring around the edge
S- citrus-forward hop aroma with notes of tangerine, grapefruit zest, lemon and undertones of grass and hemp
T- juicy and fruity up front with a big peach note, similar to peach gummy rings. Mid-palate brings out notes of grapefruit zest and orange pith. The finish gives more peach with zesty grapefruit on the linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish

Clouded, bright golden hue, large and lasting brilliant ivory head. Looking nice.
In the nose: Sunny delights. Bold and vibrant lemon and lime, with a pinch of orange, tangerine, pineapple, even.
In the mouth: Bold citrus hop flavors at play on the palate. Juicy, a bit. And nicely hopped. Just enough bitterness to keep my mouth happy. Ultimately finishes dry. Medium body. Fresh, vibrant, and lovely. Yum a dum dum.

I have been to Firestone brewery for years, tasting everything that comes along. I saw this as a new item from Firestone. I was curious since I am familiar with the hop.
First taste was terrible. Had my wife taste it.
She found it undrinkable.
I poured it out and put the other five bottles in the alley for the homeless to try.
I was never a big fan of 805, but it's far better than this limited edition.
