D’vine Visions is our second collaboration with Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project. During the month of Sept 2019, just prior to the Terroir Project Festival, both Chad Yakobson of Crooked Stave and our own "Sour Jim" Crooks embarked on a blending project at Barrelworks that would showcase beers utilizing various fruits like grapes and apples and co-fermenting those sugar sources with malted barley. D’Vine Visions expresses the synergy of these fruits, creating vibrant citrusy floral aromatics, fresh and zesty mandarin orange flavors along with crisp Arkansas Black apple tannin.

Bottled 11-10-2019
375 ml bottle
Appearance: Clear yellow color with some slight reddish undertones. The beer has a generous-sized white head that slowly faded with nice good lacing. Nice looking wild ale.
Smell: Mild fruit notes, mild grassy/hay notes, mild apple and mild grapes notes.
Taste: I pick up some grape notes, mildly tart apple notes, and mild citrus notes. I also get a touch of leather notes which works well with the other flavor elements to produce a good tasting beer. The beer starts out mildly sweet but dries out with some nice tart apple and grape notes. The beer has a mildly dry finish.
Mouth-feel: Fairly light-bodied with a generous level of carbonation. The mouthfeel is nice for a wild ale.
Overall: A well done and tasty wild ale. The use of the grapes and black apples in this beer resulted in a unique and tasty beer.
