Pours golden clear with light white foamy cap from variety pack (July 4th limited release) retro style labeled bottle. Notes of citrus mandarin and light well balanced easy drinking hops. Decent summer west coast IPA brew.

This pours a white gold, with a slight chill haze. Mandarina, the hop’s name, is apt, describes the aroma that comes off of this. Sweetish, but lacks depth. A touch of chalky ... something... on the finish, as it falls apart at the end.

Was gifted a mixed 12 pack recently. Bottled 11-30-20; consumed 3-16-20.
Beer poured a hazy golden with a gorgeous long lasting white head.
Nose has light hints of oranges but is fairly muted.
Taste follows the nose with light orange hopping on top of a sessional pale malt base. Finishes with relatively minimal bitterness; 4/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and refreshing.
Overall an easy drinker that lacks the aroma and flavor punch in bigger beers from this genre.

12 oz. bottle - bottled on 10/08/20:
Pours hazed light yellow with a very thin lasting head. Trailing lace sticks.
The smell is of light mandarin orange, melon and a hint of mustiness.
The taste is of orange and mellow. Very soft. Restrained bitterness in the finish.
A bit thin for an IPA. More like a hazy/NE-inspired APA that borders IPA enough to fit.
Some flavor lingers. A pleasant, light hazy IPA with an orange/melon character that is soft.

Bottle poured into a Firestone Walker Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours lightly hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Floral, zesty citrus, light tropical and stone fruit, a bit grassy, faintly herbal, crackery biscuity malt, and just a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Bright citrus zest, tangerine and lemon, floral, light tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, pineapple peach, and apricot, slight herbal and grassy notes, a light wheat twang, crackery biscuity malt, and just a touch of caramel sweetness.
M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: I've warmed up to this one a bit after having it again. Overall it's a solid single hop IPA that shows off everything Mandarina brings to the table.

Appearance - Pours hazy and light orange in color, with a white, half finger width head. Sub=par retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of suds, with a thin, consistent ring clinging to the edge. No lacing, save a handful of tiny spots.
Smell - Citrusy aroma; bright, mandarin orange. Hint of earth; maybe a trace of dank.
Taste - Follows the nose. Fair mandarin orange character, then a touch of nuttiness. Just a faint trace of dank pine. Finish adds a very mild pith bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Ont the lighter side of medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Pretty solid single hop hazy IPA. Single hop brews are usually miss the mark for me, but I would certainly drink this one again.
