Appearance: Cloudy straw-yellow color with a generous-sized thick, foamy white head that slowly faded. So far so good.
Smell: Tropical fruit aromas and mild citrus fruit aromas. Nothing wrong with the nose.
Taste: Moderate tropical fruit notes and mild pine notes. nothing wrong with the flavor profile but it comes off somewhat subdued with the hops present but not assertive. A mild hop bitterness that lingers provides a mildly dry finish as the fruity notes disappear.
Mouth-feel: Fairly light-bodied with a generous level of carbonation.
Overall: A good IPA with a good flavor profile that comes off somewhat reserved to me. I often find NE IPAs to come off a bit subdued flavor wise.

Imagine something that pops - a firecracker, or your little brother’s pimples... Well, Elenna doesn’t “pop” (at least at the end like a playa would want). It’s nice and tropical up front, but it just doesn’t satisfy like having a bowl of Honey Smacks did while in the 4th grade. Yes, Elenna is a bit disappointing, and it does not satisfy like a bowl of Honey Smacks once did.
