Tiki Smash IPA delivers a tiki-inspired flavor combination born of pure hops and freshly toasted coconut. Original Mind Haze hops including Mandarina, Cascade, Azacca, El Dorado, Mosaic, Chinook, Cashmere, Callista, & Idaho 7 are now joined by Motueka and Sabro hops. The Azacca portion has been increased to amplify the sense of pineapple tropical character, while Sabro delivers its complementary coconut qualities.

(review from February 2022) See previous reviews of regular Mind Haze and add the barest whiff of coconut and a very subdued pineappley flavor. Less juicy and fragrant than the original too.. Had hoped for a little more coconuttiness. Disappears fast and easy though!

Draft at Luciano's. Hazy yellow golden pour, thin, tight white head. Zesty, fruity aroma with some soft tropical fruit notes. Taste is fruity and smooth with a light tang. Very quaffable and refreshing.

Pours a very cloudy, opaque golden yellow color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is mild. Lacing is decent. There is a somewhat citrus aroma with a hint of coconut but mainly get piney resin with a little earthiness to it now. Stronger coconut on the taste with a little bit of pineapple and more bitter piney resin with some mild dank earthiness at the end.

Pours hazy golden yellow with a thick white cap, decent retention and lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit and coconut. Flavor follows the nose, plenty of coconut. Feel is medium bodied with light carbonation. Overall, a pleasure to drink.

12 oz. can, canned on 07/23/2022. My second beer in this series from Firestone Walker, acquired a single can as part of a mixed six pack. "Tropical hops with coconut" per the can.
Poured to a clear stemless wine snifter.
Pours pale golden yellow-orange. Finger of soapy white head. Decent lacing.
Aroma is pure pine sol & citrus zest. Notes of cream, lemon, zest. Lemon meringue. Definitely smells "tropical" but not entirely natural.
Blast of coconut, pineapple, tropical fruit. Very pina colada tasting. Once tasted, the presence of coconut cannot be ignored. Almost a bit nutty tasting in the background. Traditional hop bitterness is hard to find here, but there are notes of pine & resin buried deep within the finish. "Tropical" and semi-artificial coconut flavoring is borderline overwhelming.
Feel is smooth, crisp, fairly easy-drinking. Carbonation is good and prickly.
Overall, not great, and it will certainly not appeal to everyone.

12oz can.
L: Hazy, pale orange with a thin head that reduces quickly to a smear. Spotty lacing.
S: Pineapple and toasted coconut.
T: Tropical fruit with a dry, almost metallic finish.
F: Light body.
O: Lots of the usual tropical fruits with a trace of coconut. A perfectly acceptable NEIPA but not a standout in what has become a very crowded field.

12oz can purchased from the fridge as part of a mix-a-six pack for $2. Canned on 2/22/2022, so this is almost 5 months old.
Look: Very hazy orange color. Looks kind of like mango nectar. There was a fluffy two-finger head that slowly reduced to a thin layer.
Smell: The aromas are fruity, tropical, and coconutty. Up front, I get pineapple and some orange. The finish is all toasted coconut. There is also a bit of soapiness on the finish, which often comes with coconut. Honestly, it smells nice but it smells more like a mixed drink with Malibu coconut rum than a beer.
Taste: It's interesting. The flavors on the palate are definitely similar to the nose. Sweet, ripe fruit upfront. The finish is kind of flat; there is very little bitterness and the flavor profile disappears rather quickly after you swallow the beer. There is a mild pithy finish along with a slightly soapy mouthfeel. It's pretty drinkable and I think that this is an ideal beer to drink on a hot, muggy evening like today when I am parched and want something to quench my thirst. I'm not sure if there is a bit of hop burn on the finish or not; I am drinking this relatively quickly, yet it feels slightly more abrasive the more I drink of it.
Feel: Smooth, soft mouthfeel. Appropriately carbonated.
Overall: It's a cute idea to make a hazy IPA called "Tiki Smash" brewed with coconut. It's probably not that creative nowadays anymore though, so it's not so novel anymore. Personally, I much prefer Firestone Walker's west coast style-IPAs and their stouts. I can easily do without the Mind Haze series. This is decent, but probably not one that I would buy again.

Taste like an IPA I taste zero coconut! Should be labeled as a citrusy ipa because that’s al I get.

12oz can poured into a snifter
Canned 17 days ago
A- pours a hazy golden orange with a one finger foamy white head that leaves some nice lacing behind
S- Huge fresh coconut aroma up front, followed by undertones of mango, pineapple, papaya and tangerine
T- coconut follows the nose with a blast of fresh coconut cream, similar to a pina colada. Mid palate gives tropical notes of juicy tangerine, pineapple, mango and melon. The finish gives more coconut cream, with a linger of zesty citrus and pineapple
M- medium body with moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel co to use I to a crisp finish
O- a tropical hop bomb with fantastic coconut notes, love it
