12oz'er from the variety pack
Whoaaa, trippy can art mahhnn. Very cloudy, looks good. Smell is "green" with some noticable pineapple. Taste is bitter grapefruit, with that same grass from the scent along with grapefruit rind and pine... Also a metallic/dirt taste(?) that I can't quit put my finger on.. It's tasty enough and easy to drink (lighter) doing a lot with just a single hop... Glad to try but I won't miss it

I think this is one of those new beers they put in the 4 variety 12 packs. Looks like there is asphalt and cornhole in the background of the pic from October 21, so I gotta believe this was a football tailgate.
Has that dullard screwdriver appearance, dull orange leaning into beige, haze territory, 3/4" white head, good retention. Good looking for style I'd say. The aroma didn't have the big pineapple Galaxy blast. These are lesser Galaxy hops in my opinion.
The taste predictably followed the nose. Yes, there were hops, but it doesn't really rise to the level of some of their more famous hoppy beers. Had just as much grapefruit aspect to the hops as it did tropical or pineapple, if not more. Or maybe the quality was good, they just skimped on quantity. Wouldn't surprise me, FW kind of took a dive lately. Corporate ownership? Can't say if that is why. Slightly more bitterness than your average hazy ipa. Slightly less juiciness as well.
Wouldn't mind trying it again.
