L - Brown/dark amber, with a light tan head that dissipates quickly leaving behind minimal lacing - a couple of huge ice cubes and you'd think this were a cocktail
S - lemon and bitters up front followed by notes of rye whiskey and anise, slight hints of caramel. Smell is rather faint for the complexity of the beer
T - some stock ale and barelywine notes present up front but are quickly followed by and intermixed with cognac and rye whiskey, bitters, anise from the absinthe, with bright lemon and hints of caramel and licorice on the back end. Some wood and earth notes as well
F - full bodied with light carbonation
O - very much a cocktail inspired beer, but a very complex and interesting one to experience

Bottle pour - opaque dirty brown water with short lived khaki head leaving a ring of bubbles. Nose is limey tequila licorice. Taste follows more or less , this one's kinda weird in an experimental cocktail kinda way. Finish is a bit tart and slightly woody and dry.
