Bottle shared by Mr Barleywine thanks for opening this for me.
Inky black with a slow forming tan head that persists.
Big cherry aroma and flavor with a thick roasty syrupy liquid beneath. Moderate brandy barrel notes. Very nice.

Bottle pour- dark as night with short chocolate milk head leaving scant lacing and a ring of bubbles. Nose is a big old toasty roasty chocolate covered cherry. Taste follows more or less with very mild cherry notes lingering on a slightly boozy finish.

If you’re expecting maraschino flavor, fuggedaboutit!
If you’re going in expecting deep, dark, cherry bitters on the end of a world class stout profile, get a damn bottle.
Definitely one of my all-time favorites. The only thing holding it back just a touch is a pinch too much carbonation on the tongue. I like my stouts smoother than your Italian uncle straight from Palermo.
