A: cranberry juice red with a soft light pink head.

S: tart with a bit of dunno, and a berry note in the finish.

T: yowser! That is sour! Bright tart cherry flavor, with a touch of heat in the finish, at well as done earthy notes.

M: somewhat thin feel, but highly carbonated. Dry finish.

O: overall, a pretty wonderful sour sipper.

A beautiful cherry color it he glass with a nice head. Aroma has light funk and cherry. Taste is moderate to high sour scale with cherry and a touch cloying in the finish. Overall a quality sour/wild ale from FW.

double the fruit or something from the original, awesome to get to drink this on tap, this still remains my favorite part of what these guys do, the wild stuff, so dialed in and unique. this is soft hazy pink from the tap, pretty deep color saturation with a high creamy white head, looks almost electric. the aroma is a bit spicy and a bit sweet, and very acidic. lemony lactic tartness in front of oaken funk, but both are there, and the cherries give pie vibes, honey and cinnamon and vanilla notes even, seems baked, more cooked than raw cherry, but some definite sourness from them too, yum. the flavor is cherries all the way, puckery from beginning to end, maybe with the additional fruit they also got some increased acidity, i dont recall the original being nearly this sour, and it comes at the expense of some of the mature funkiness that would make this more well rounded. still, the fruit aspect of this is fantastic, its vinous with the wood, and has a pretty fluffy smoothed out body for being as tart as it is, really makes it pretty drinkable, but i dont need a second pour of this. the fruit is natural more tart than sweet but concentrated too, subtle white pepper and lemon notes, not a ton of grain taste here, but overall a very cool offering, fun with all the extra fruit but less cool on the fermentation side, and for that reason i think i prefer the original, but not by much, that one is pretty sour too. cool project to double the fruit!

A nice tart, slightly sour, fruity beer. Plenty of cherry flavor. Dry finish. Better than rated.

6 oz mini-snifter pour on tap at Lures Bar & Grille. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavor feature tart pie cherry with background notes of vanilla, oak, tannins, leather, funk, red wine, berries, and malt. Mouthfeel is dry with a slight astringency. Complex and delicious, lives up to my high expectations. Great stuff.
