We blended two uniquely emphatic hops to create Simcoe Sequence-a bold and complex West Coast IPA. The iconic Simcoe Hop combines classic Northwest notes of pine and citrus with punchy passionfruit flavors. Into this mix we included the trending Motueka hop from New Zealand, which layers in hints of citrusy lime and tropical fruit.

Pours a pale gold color, clear with a bubbly white head. Smell is a faint pine scent. Well-balanced flavor with a malt flavor up front and a dry bitter finish. A very drinkable IPA.

12 oz, bottle - Bottled on 01/27/22 - Part of variety pack:
Pours clear dark golden Nice hue. A thin lasting head leaves lace.
The smell is of light pine and grain. A very mild/soft aroma for a Simcoe hop brew.
The taste is relatively mild. Some pine, some melon with a grainy balance. Slight alcohol shows is a relatively dry finish. It grows on me a bit - enough to give it a supportive little bump from my original taste rating.
A bitter dryness comes in late - more in the aftertaste and lingers a bit. It hits medium-bodied.
The hops do show up to the party. But, they don't impress me much in this case. Overall, a decent, but forgettable, brew.
