(review from January 2024) Good 2x NE ipa with nice balance/mouthfeel; light haze; lower hoppiness but a subtle, fruity/tropical/synthetic-saccharine-kinda sweetness that's hard to describe. Almost seems like cryo hops were used too based on the lack of bitterness? Still a smooth fooler of an 8.5%er and quaffable. Bet it'd make a great seafood/chicken/pork marinade though!

Mind Haze Brain Melter has a very thick, soapy, off-white head and an opaque, orange appearance, with some lacing. The aroma is of white bread crust and general fruit. The flavor is of those elements, with moderate sweetness and bitterness. Mind Haze Brain Melter has a high-medium body and a mostly-dry finish.

The Mind Haze series came in a 12-pack: Brain Melter, Citrus IPA, and Mind Haze. This was a delicious series, and I had imbibed several cans. Considering that I have not reviewed any of these beers, it is time to put the spotlight on them. I am using a pint glass and serving the beer at 44 degrees. The pour created a froth, airy, foamy, one-fingered, white head with excellent retention. The slow dissipation left chunks of lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 6, pale straw yellow with golden hues and cloudy. The appearance of the beer is above average for this style.
Nosing the glass, I smell pineapple, mango, orange, lemon, floral esters, a hint of peaches, and apricots. I smell biscuits, lightly toasted malts, malty sweetness, and yeasty notes when I smell the beer again. The beer smells like a NEIPA.
While sipping the beer, I taste peaches, pineapple, mangos, oranges, lemons, and floral bouquets. Tasting the beer, I taste biscuits, lightly toasted malts, malty sweetness, yeast, and a light earthiness.
The mouthfeel is astringent and finishes dry. The body is medium and has medium-plus carbonation.
Brain Melter is a wonderful NEIPA and an easy sipper.

Picked up a sixer from the Energy Mart beer gas station 10-21-24 for $12.79. Canned 7-31-24; consumed two cans for review 10-24-24.
Beer poured hazy golden orange with a very nice white head that is leaving some fine lacing behind. Head still partially standing after several sips.
Nose is nice as I am getting some stone fruit, citrus and tropical hops.
Taste is a fruit bowl of flavors as i am getting some peach, orange, and mango. Finishes perfectly balanced with no post aspiration overt bitterness; 5/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and very smooth.
Overall, this is growing on me as i sip and it warms. Nicely done, miss having access to fresh F.W.
