WCIPA

Brewed with Mosaic, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin, and Riwaka hops, a lean base of pilsner malt, wheat, and rice keeps things clean and relatively dry in the finish for a big IPA.

Clear gold pour, small head. Nice citrus aroma leaping from the glass. Standard west coast IPA grapefruit and resin hops. Well balanced. Solid.

What could be more by-God American than electricity, eagles, rock n roll, and IPA? In full celebration of such efforts, Firestone Walker whips out a truly west coast IPA that easily washes down everything that this country wants to give to us.

Electric Eagle pours with a mostly clear golden color before topping off with a loose white froth. As the classic scent of citrus, pine and floral aromas swirl about the nose, the first sip of light caramel, toast and mild nuttiness is briskly accented with granola malt impressions. With the sweetness receding quickly into the background, the hops take full control over the middle palate with orange peel, pink grapefruit and with hints of lime, pineapple and apricot. Rapidly developing into a bitter leaning late palate, the hoppy finish of pine resins, peppery grasses and hemp resonate deep into aftertaste.

Medium bodied, dry and refreshing, this classically bitter beer is sure to be a hit for hop heads from sea to shining sea.

Straw yellow in color with a bright white head. Nose is herbal and heavy on the pine. Taste is very much like nose, herbal and pine. Decent bitterness on back end, could use a bit more.
