Had from growler. Pours clear, cola in color with one third inch head. Taste is Irish cream, cocoa and milk chocolate. Medium heavy body, moderate low carbonation, sweet and roasty. Really tasty, dessert style beer. Could have a few.

Can pour - very dark coffee color with thick mocha head leaving significant frosty lacing. Nose is rootbeerish. Taste follows with mild vanilla and cocoa and a sweetness that lingers on a thinnish finish.

this one is a lot, so sweet, but also really good, the chocolate is bold as can be, almost a hersheys syrup thing to this one, coffee and vanilla very apparent as well, quality base beer of course, mellow alcohol surprisingly in this, very desserty, but also very good, no surprise. not black in the pour, very dark brown with some obvious structure and even reddish edges to the glass in the right light, good head on it. the aroma here is chocolate first, some of that bitter nib character but to me more of a milk chocolate richness, could be the malts adding to that, but it seems heavily chocolate dosed to me, with the roasted barley and the warming cozy black coffee character rounding it out nicely, seems like lactose and vanilla run pretty far together, like maybe this much of both is excessive, but it comes together well, very appealing, and is somehow even more robust on all of these elements in the flavor, sweet chocolate start to finish, coffee crescendo climaxing late, and the vanilla popping the most in the dead center of this. subtle spiced and earthy aspects, plenty of good whiskey decadence too, more and more of that as this warms. this is a lot right, its heavy on the palate and in the belly, its got so much residual sugar, but like, so does an actual mocha latte, and we shouldnt lose sight of that, thats not even a valid critique of a beer trying to approximate that, its a small doses beer for me, but its awfully good, and successful in its mission for sure. beautiful chocolate and coffee here, even if they come at the expense of the base stout a little bit, some overbearing caramel character in the mix too for a bit, but overall this is delicious, no denying it. very few breweries have a barrel program as these guys, and its always a joy to dip in!

This will be a lot better after some time... aging in the barrel longer would be better

Pours dark brown in color with a thick, frothy, tan head. Nice head retention that faded SLOWLY to superb lacing. Nose reminds me of chocolate milk. Taste was more coffee but also had chocolate flavor. Malty bitterness on backend of palate. Also backend I get a slight berry flavor, almost rasberry, but again it is so very slight!
