12 oz bottle into a snifter
Down brown brew, little carb and almost no head
Nutty, oaky bouquet with hints of unsweetened cocoa and pit fruit
Big oaky, whisky notes at front of the palate. Dry. Some touches of coffee and baker’s chocolate. Dry af. Wasn’t expecting that. Some leathery tobacco notes at the back of the sip, but the added cherries and pistachios are lost in the shuffle. Long, dry finish. Did I say dry?

Spumoni Pony has a thin, beige head and a very dark brown appearance, with minimal lacing. The aroma is of dark bread crust, with faint whiskey notes. The flavor is of whiskey, dark bread crust, cocoa, coffee, cream, cherry acidity, and maybe nuts. Spumoni Pony has a heavy body, a velvety mouthfeel, and a dry finish.

Pours dark black with small brown head. Nose is sort of smokey. Taste is also slightly smokey but also has a charr and chocolate taste. Decent dark chocolate bitterness on backend.
