Deep brown, off-white foam lace.
Non-specific liquor.
Very brown ale, faintly pecan pie, no so much caramel as molasses and cola. Some char, nothing hoppy or herbal. Needs stronger hit of chocolate.
Carbonation feels more traditional Belgian than porter or stout.

Pours jet black, very opaque. Nice tight tan head. Nose is boozy, burnt caramel and sweet. Taste was somewhat muted. Slightly burnt caramel and slightly sweet. Backend was some charr but not overwhelming. Booze was not very evident.
