Pivo is the beer that helped kick the doors down and liberate American pilsner from the clutches of industrial beer. Inspired by the dry-hopped Tipopils from Birrificio Italiano, Brewmaster Matt Brynildson drew upon multiple European influences to create this one-of-a-kind beer that sparked a legion of new craft pilsners across the U.S. Impeccably balanced. Floral aromatics, spicy herbal nuances and lemongrass notes from German Saphir hops. 5.3% ABV | 40 IBU

This brew pours a light golden/straw color which is mostly clear with heavy carbonation and a white, fluffy three finger head which lasts for several minuets. There is moderate lacing on the glass, good for a Pilsner. Some of the head remains until the end.
The smell is musty, straw and wet hay, just like a good Pils should be. There is also a grassy, grainy smell along with the smell of light peppery hops and lemon.
The taste follows the nose with a clean slightly dry taste of straw and lemon along with light peppery hops scattered throughout from beginning to end. There is a crisp, cracker like taste with ending in the cleanest finish I have ever had in a lager. There is also a very slight grassy, gritty taste on the back end, just like a Pils should have, which does not interfere with the clean finish in any way.
Overall, this just might be the perfect example of what a Pilsner should be. It is the best Pils I have had to date.

Appearance: Poured into a Pilsner glass is a clear golden brew. With subtle hints of cloudiness.
Aroma: Lemon zest, bready and buttery. Faint twinges of grain but great floral hop notes. With a little dryness in the nose.
Taste: It starts out very crisp on the pallet. Bready, buttery, floral hop and nice golden malt to finish it out.
Overall: This certainly an excellent beer and a definite buy again. Prost.

Clear light golden color with a respectable white head with good retention and some lacing.
The aroma is fresh bread with hints of caramel and citrus.
The taste is fresh biscuts, lemon, light caramel, slightly sweet, very lightly tart. The finish is dry with herbal grassy notes, mild bitterness, good balance.
The body is light/medium, plenty of nice carbonation, crisp and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a very tasty and refreshing brew, should go well with most foods, especially barbecue, a great cooler for summer activities but good anytime, very well done.

Moderately bodied Pils with a nice Czech malt base featuring bagel/bready/cereal grains with gentle hops evening things out. Not as hoppy as expected, but still nice. Decent pils

Light yellowish gold pour, nice foamy white head that will drop later. Nose is malt and herbs.
Taste is sweet Pils, sweet herbal, floral over the top of it all. Light mouthfeel. Finish is grassy, herbal, delicious.

12 oz can canned 04/09/25 into a pokal.
L: SRM 3 pours clear light pale yellow with large steady carbo bubbles, a 1" soapy white head that recedes to froth, a few spots of random lacing.
S: A hint of citrus, mild caramelization, distant grains.
T: Lightly tangy and zippy fruits, citrus zest, a note of bread dough, yeast, a hint of white grape, it has a medium-long zesty linger.
F: Crisp, lively, medium-light bodied feel with a medium-long slightly dry finish.
O: I really like this beer. Fruity, and lightly bready. Nice and crisp. Hits all the style marks well and is quite easy to drink. Refreshing and very good in its style.

2 months in the can, poured cold into a Becher Pint. Pretty rookie score but I feel like it fits perfect as a standard. 4's across the board. A great German-inspired American Pilsner. Highly recommended.

On tap at Blue Rock Pizza & Tap Adams Farm into lager glass. Pours clear pale golden yellow color with a small white head with spotty soapy lacing and a lot of streaming carbonation. Aromas and flavors of lemon, pear, cracker, bread, cedar, peppercorn, pine, herbal, floral, grass. Med high pine/cedar/rind bitter finish. Med high carb and light body. Crisp, clean, refreshing nearly bone dry finish. Lingering resins on grainy malt backbone. No lingering hop astringency. Pretty aggressively hoppy, yet spot on German pils on taste. Perfectly clean lagering. Awesome stuff.

Big foamy pillowy head on light gold body. Floral hops on the nose, melon, honey, not a ton of malt. Taste follows- crisp floral notes, bitter melon, faint honey sweetness. Crisp, snappy, slightly chalky mouthfeel. Definitely leans into the bitterness, which I prefer in a Pilsner.
