On tap for The Full Pint 6th Anniversary Celebration held at 38 Degrees in Alhambra, CA.
Billed as a blend of PNC, Parabola, and Double DBA.
Pours an almost opaque super dark brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, wood, and alcohol aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa and alcohol flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness and a strong alcohol kick on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with a nice mixture of blended components but it does pack quite an alcohol kick.
