Pours a black color. 1/4 inch head of a tan color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong citrus, sweet malt, hint of pale malt, hint of hop, and strong tartness. Fits the style of a Belgian Dark Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is a noticeable tartness. Tastes of strong citrus (plum), sweet malt, hint of pale malt, hint of hop, and a hint of yeast. Overall, the appearance and complexity were lacking, but the plum is distinct in both body and aroma.
