Appearance is nice enough, with a brownish amber brew topped with a modest foam. Adequately spritzy in the mouth. Smell of damp cardboard and bandaids.
This has what seems to be the house signature flavor-- a bacterial stewed fruit. This tastes like a Long Island Iced Tea minus the alcohol. Actually there is not any alcohol taste. Sort of Hawaiian Punch with chestnuts. Weird medicinal bitterness for alleged 25 IBUs.
Every brew from these guys is just plain peculiar. As always, I ask "is this supposed to taste like this?" Drinkability seems to be of no consequence as long as it's an interesting chemistry set experiment. From the 22 oz bottle.
