Due to our small size, we release our sour ales from a single barrel, once it is packaged that is it. This is our first one, made with a wheat and barley base with vanilla beans and orange blossoms. Aged in a red wine French oak barrel. Enjoy now or cellar for the next couple decades.

750mL (bottled April 2015) into a tulip. Pours a hazy glowing golden w/ minimal head, lazy carbonation.
Aroma is mostly pears and green apples, tart, just a little vinous. Mild lactic acidity.
Taste is brightly tart, crisp. Soft wheat and slightly grainy pale malt, green apples, oak. Hint of orange citrus.
Mouthfeel is balanced, medium body, finishes semi-dry and refreshing. Have to dock a couple points for the low carbonation.
Overall this is easily the best beer I've had from Epic. Clean and complex, reminiscent to me of a Berliner-weisse but with a bit more body. Drinkable and light, highly enjoyable.
