Got this thru a trade with youradhere. Thanks Jim!
22oz wax dipped bomber. Bottle 266 of 288. Poured into a snifter.
A- Pours a dark golden/orange color with a thick white foam head that leaves really good lacing.
S- This is listed as an American Strong Ale but first whiff of the nose and it seems to match up more with a Belgian Triple or Strong Golden Ale. Light fruits (banana, pear) and spices (clove, cinnamon). Some faint hoppiness and alcohol.
T- The alcohol and spices are much more prevalent in the flavor. Very bready with loads of spice and Belgian yeast. Nutmeg, cinnamon, and a few others that are hard to place. Incredibly sweet finish with some alcohol heat. Not tasting much in the hops department which really has me convinced that this is more of a Belgian strong than the American interpretation.
M- Full bodied and smooth with creamy carbonation. Very sweet and syrupy.
O- Very interesting take. Not really sure what category it falls into but worth trying either way.

Bottle 142.
Poured into my Russian River goblet.
I see a bright amber redish, slight orange with a slight haze to the beer. The head was quick to dissipate. No lacing left after sips.
Sweet nose from first wiff. Orange, maple syrup, Belgium yeastiness. A very low level of hops, but they are sweeter and maybe baked.
I found that sweetness on the palet as well. The citrus is there, but not rounded. There's a bitterness that seems to come from those cooked hops I smelled.
The mouthfeel is good, not too viscous, and you don't really feel the 10+% alc. but the bitterness is lingering on the finish.
Although not my favorite beer, it's good. Glad to have gotten the chance to try a beer of a limited production.

22oz bottle purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle. Wax and twine on the cap.
A - Pours a hazy dark orange/amber, big white foamy head on pour settles down. Leaves nice lacing.
S - Light citrus and spiced notes, faint hop aroma as well. Not as good as it sounds.
T - Strange combination of citrus and bitter hops. Almost a bit sweet, but too much bitter as well.
M - Medium to full body. Zesty, prickly on the tongue. Feels heavy.
O - Just not a balanced beer. Overly bitter with a weird citrus sweetness. I would have never guessed this was anything but an unbalanced IPA or IIPA.

22oz bomber, black wax, #141/288, split
appearance: served in my hopleaf tulip, dark orange-amber body, filmy beige lace
smell: big yeasty aroma - aggressive spice, soapy medicinal aroma
taste: you really never know what you're going to get with Epic Ales - the label in this project provides absolutely no insight as to what is within the bottle. Medicinal spice, nutmeg, considerable alcohol presence, sweet sugars.
mouthfeel: big and boozy, thick finish
overall: ok - just a mish mash of a beer though

Project Two Epic Ales, Bottle 139 of 288
A:Burnished garnet with good offwhite head
S: Prunes, pumpkin seasoning, molasses, and undeterminable spices that verge on harshness.
T:The cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg flavors are dominant with a lurking soapy flavor on the back of the tongue. The spicing is a touch heavy at this point, leaving a residual bitterness across the palate. Quite sweet, perhaps candi sugar making an appearance?
M: Sticky sweet but not too viscous. Carbonation levels are good on this.
O: Overall a bit too harshly spiced but it just hit the shelves and may need some time.
