So one of the few places appearing in Villa de Leyva, a very small but growingly touristic little village 2hrs north of Bogotá. this place is just off the Plaza Mayor (which claims to be the biggest in south america yet i digress).
It's basically the inner court of one of the old haciendas, no particular ambience but rather a setup dependent on how sunny the day is (which it generally is over there). no sublime deco outside of the fact that the fermentation tanks sit outside right by the tables, beneficial or detrimental to the quality of the ir beers, i don't know.
Service might be good when the population of 4,000 is the only one around, but come the weekend or a holiday, they collapse, taking over 1 hour to bring a miserable beer (let alone cooked food). not that the food is bad, though, at least not as bad as their beers, but just sitting there for hours pending a simple dish of onion rings or a so-so "black" ale is just not worth it.
but then again, there ain't much else to expect in this tiny, tiny town.
