On tap at Cycle Brewing in St. Petersburg, FL.
This one pours a (you guessed it) dark black color, with no head or lacing.
Smells like cognac, heavy duty chili peppers, oak and fudgy chocolate.
This is really quite wonderful- the base stout is very sticky and fudgy, and provides a great counterpoint to the fairly intense chili burn. It lingers on the palate throughout the pour, but it doesn't become intense because of the big sweetness of the stout. There's less cognac than Pallet 5, but it's still there, with some great silky vanilla and oak.
This has a great silky and creamy mouthfeel, and the heat just lingers. It's got a lower level of lacing.
One of the best Cycle stouts that I've had- I'm glad it lasted after BA Day!
