On-tap at Peg's for their barrel day on 3/9/13. Served in a plastic cup.
A- Like the other Rare/RareR variants, pours thick and black with a thin khaki head that recedes to a collar.
S- One of the hugest coffee aromas I've ever gotten off of a beer, it almost slaps you in the face. Also some nice chocolate, cocoa, and roasted grain aromas, but the coffee absolutely dominates here.
T- Big coffee flavor, which is pretty bitter and acidic, as well as big chocolate, cocoa and roasted grain flavors. Overall the flavor is very rich, definitely one to sip at.
M- Full-bodied, smooth feel with a moderately dry finish.
O- We had this alongside numerous Rare/RareR variants, and this along with Nooner Batch 2 were the standouts among them. The amount of coffee in the beer is pretty incredible. This is one of the better coffee stouts I've had in a while.

This was on tap a their Barrel Aged day, pre Huna Day.
It is a bourbon barrel aged coffee stout. I drank it side by side by side with other variations of this brew., the Hazelnut Fast Breaker and Vanilla Fast Breaker. While it was my least favorite of the three it was very tasty and well done. The bourbon played very well with the coffee. There was so much great beer this day between the amazing tap list and the crazy bottle share. If you have a chance to get this definitely worth it. Thanks for a great day Peg's.
