2014 Release. Poured thick viscous. Smells like chocolate covered raisins with dark chocolate and dark fruits. Taste.. bottle was infected, very sour and complete drain pour. Second Rarer bottle to happen to me in past month. Peg's clearly has an issue and needs to fix it!! Very disappointing.

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at the Cycle Brewing location on Central Ave. in St. Pete. Served in a snifter.
A: Dark brown to black and opaque, with a thick tan head and no visible carbonation.
S: Hazelnut, coffee with creamy lactose sweetness and slight chocolate notes.
T: Follows the nose. Huge hazelnut flavors up front, with dark coffee and dark roasted malts with only a background of mild chocolate. Sweet with a touch of bitterness in the finish.
M: Thick sticky smooth mouthfeel, heavy-bodied, moderate alcohol presence for style, and low carbonation sensation.
O: This is very good. I'm not generally a hazelnut fan, so for me the hazelnut flavors were a bit too prominent. But still, really really enjoyable. For someone who enjoys a good hazelnut coffee in the morning, this might be your favorite beer ever. Highly recommended.
