12oz can poured into a snifter; dark, dense pour yields a finger of khaki head; impressions of sweet milk chocolate, roasted malt; faint caramel sweetness, darker chocolate and cocoa; bitter espresso and char balancing the sweetness; full body at 8%, smooth and creamy.

Copenhagen 28/9 2018. 35,5 cl can from Voldby Købmandsgård Webshop. Pink shine can with the silhouette of a bunny. Pretty High ABV for a Sweet Stout.

Pours opaque dark brown with small beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the side of the glass. Moderate Lacing.

Aroma is sweet, milky and lightly boozy. Brown sugar, Milk chocolateand lactose. Lighter odor of alcohol.

Fairly strong carbonation for a stout. Thick, creamy yet prickly texture. Sticky.

Flavor is heavy sweet followed by decent bitterness hiding underneath the sweetness. Aftertaste is bitter-sweet. Lingering. Light alcoholic burn.

Quite bitter for a sweet stout. But that does not mean it’s not perfectly delicious.

Bottom of the can says, "Batch #011 19:54).

A - Pitch black pour with an off-white colored dense lacing ring.

S - Dark chocolate roast, char/charcoal, milk/lactose/cream on the nose.

T - Soft black licorice, char, and dark chocolate up front followed by some cream and finishes strong with a lingering chocolate char on the palate. Nice lingering chocolate roast.

M - Big, thick texture with a creamy lactose feel.

O - Not sure if the can is old or new, starts out weak on the flavor but dig the buildng chocolate wave after the sip.

Look: Poured a deep bark chocolate color with a medium head that quickly dissipated. Medium lacing on the glass.
Smell and Taste: Sweet is the dominant characteristic. A little too much sugar in your coffee and you got it. Pungent aftertaste, resembling burnt coffee beans.
Feel: flat form low carbonation and a little coarse.
Overall: Can't decide if it's too sweet (on the initial sip) or to bitter (on the lingering aftertaste). Probably will not seek this one out again but if offered a freebie I will got for it.

From can to a tulip glass. All coffee on the nose. Clean finish. Flavor develops as it warms. Not boozy at all but has a slight burn in the aftertaste. Medium body. All in all, at 8% this is a standup stout & a real value.

Can from Covenhoven. Southampton goblet @ home.

Brown on black body. Lingering, cookie dough head.

Smells like malted milk balls, pepper, & a splash of booze.

Mellow, unburnt, but very well toasted malt. Licorice, aged hop bitterness, dirt. Cola.

Thin, sudsy, drys out on the finish. Pretty good, if a little murky.

Can from the Packie.
Dark brown/black in color with a good sized tan head that persists. Roasty earthy caramel and lots of chocolate maltiness. Pretty tasty brew.

Too many flavors going on here for me. As others have said has strawberry, banana undertones to your standard milk stout.

Canned spring 2016; drank 6/24/16 @ the Yarchives.

Black/brown appearance.

A rough pour yielded a HUGE, noisy tan head; minimal lace.

A sweet nose, featuring strawberry, banana & milk chocolate notes.

Medium thick mouthfeel.

Fresh earth, banana & strawberry flavors up front; smoke notes on the finish.

Marshmallow notes emerged as this warmed. No booze heat.

A bit too sweet, but this has enough depth to earn more sessions. I'd have another...

A: The beer is very close to being jet black in color - only traces of dark brown are visible near the corners of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a quarter finger high tan colored head that has good retention properties and consistently covered the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of chocolate are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is mostly dominated by flavors of chocolate malts and has notes of roasted malts and slight hints of licorice. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a touch of smoothness on the mouthfeel.
O: This beer smells and tastes like a typical stout and you don't really get any of the lactose except in the bits of smoothness that are present in the mouthfeel.
