Pours an opaque, turbid orange with two fingers of white foam. Head breaks apart and turns into an oily set of bubbles. Aroma is tangerine puree, to the point of being overripe. Little bits of nectarine and mandarin orange diversify the tropical fruits a touch, but it's nearly all tangerine up front - which is not a surprised based on the beer name. Flavor profile is tangerine heavy, as the name implies, but also showcases a little nectarine, mandarin orange and lemon zest for complexity. Despite the heavy tropical fruit qualities, the balance leans just slightly towards sweet. Between the curtain of tropical fruits are glimpses of bready and nutty malts. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a pillowy texture that brings along a sporadic dose of random pulp and graininess. Overall, tangerine, as per the name, is the showcase here. There isn't much depth beyond this, and seeing as the tangerine comes off overripe and a little stringent - it's a little questionable.

The beer pours out a hazy light golden yellow color, with 1 finger of white head and some sediment-------- the aromas are of orange for days, orange flesh, peal, zest and pith with some lesser tropical fruit---------- the flavors start off tart with a big hop presence followed by orange zest, the beer has a medium mouthfeel with a prickly carbonation and dryish finish----------- overall this was a tasty beer but it was more of a tart ipa than it was a sour

Can: Poured a hazy orangey color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of sour notes with some lactose and citrusy notes also noticeable. Taste is a mix of aggressive sour notes with some lactose that offset some of the sourness with some citrusy notes also noticeable. Body is full with good carbonation. Enjoyable and refreshing but sourness level could be slightly toned down.

I actually really like this one. People complaining about calling an ale a sour is fair but I knew what I was getting into based on the recommendations of friends so I expected a bit of sour.

A- Goblet pour from the can. The beer is a golden-orange and a two finger foamy white head forms atop it. Decent head retention. Lacing is a few small spots.
S- I get mostly the tangerine with a subtle backing of slightly funky lactic acid fermentation, hints at a light tartness. Tangerine rine and juice come to mind with a touch of whole grains alongside.
T- Well, right away it seems more tart than the aroma suggested and it has a subtle vanilla-esque sweetness which combines with the tangerine to give off a bit of a creamsicle feel. Enough to be good but not too much where it is like a dessert. A bit of that whole grain feel, lactic acid yogurty, whole tangerines, bitter citrus zest and lemons.
MF- Fluffy and silky cream texture to the light overall body. A high level of carbonation and a bitter and sour finish.
Tangerines, a vanilla like sweetness and lactic sourness combine to give this sort of a creamsicle feel.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into glass. This is stamped on bottom of bottle, '129 D-1 1106'.
Totally murky appearance, orange/gold colored body. Minimal head quickly disappears. No lacing. Some floating particles.
Aroma is strong with tangerine citrus. Some hints of sour.
Taste is slightly sour, with lots of tart tangerine citrus coming through. Some funk toward the end.
Medium plus mouth feel. There is good carbonation, even though there is no foam or head. Introduces a sharp feeling to the tongue, which reinforces the tart and sour (could be from the dry hops).
This is labeled as a "wild india pale ale", which gives advance notice that the added yeast will impart a tart/sour aspect. This is a refreshing beer experience, with a dry finish.
