A thanks to the champion of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, light pineapple. Taste is juicy citrus, some tropical fruits, mild bitterness, hints of alcohol. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer, maybe a little to easy drinking at this abv.

Nice IPA, juicy & hoppy enough to mask the high ABV.

From a tall can, this brew is a hazy orange-yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is full of fruit, with some herbal hops underneath. The taste is seriously fruity....mango, orange, lemon, even pineapple. Wow. The taste has a little warmth and some underlying sweetness.. Full body and fruity hop finish. Nice.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, white grape, white wine, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/tropical/citrus hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, white grape, white wine, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, white grape, white wine, lemon/orange zest, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical/citrus hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical/citrus hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Feels very close to a NE DIPA overall. Balanced juicy, vibrant, and dank hop complexity; balanced malts, with no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering and great hop showcase.
