Copenhagen 1/5 2019. 47,3 cl can from Voldby Købmandsgård (Web-shop). Weirdly patterned can in Horror Vacui style.
Pours hazy, golden yellow with medum-sized white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. But clinging to the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is pretty intense, fruity and a little herbal. Exotic sweet fruit with mango, peach and melon. Balanced by a citric touch of Grape fruit and lemon.
Soft carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft texture.
Flavor is intense. Fairly sweet followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter-sweet with a little dominance to the sweet side. Light boozy burn. Lingers for a while.
DIPA with a solid malt base and fresh, citric bitterness. Good one.

I got a late start on this past Sunday's NBS (Week 774) & I did not finish up my DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure as planned. 8=( Further, I have promised that next week's NBS (Week 775) will be dedicated to the wonderful beers sent to me by @jkblr who seems to have a real handle on my drinking habits. CANsparency is key in these things! As a result, I am going to CANcentrate over the next few days on eradicating everything that would have CANbined to form the finale of the DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure. Sit down, strap in & hang on. It's gonna be a wild ride!
From the CAN: "Double Dank India Pale Ale ".
I Crack!ed the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. Once more, my efforts did not seem to be paying off as the desired clarity was not there. 8=( OTOH, I got two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with excellent retention for my efforts. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9). Nose was REALLY fresh & very resinous! I do not partake since I am still in the market for a job, but I know a fellow who routinely brings really good frop to parties. At our latest get-together, he let me shake his baggie & take a whiff. It was almost EXACTLY like this, reminding us all that hops & marijuana are closely related. Mmm. Even my evergreen Christmas tree isn't this fragrant! Mouthfeel was big & full, like a dollop had been scooped into my mouth & onto my tongue. 8=O The taste was very pleasant, beginning with a tangerine/orange flavor, morphing into a pine mintiness & then melding into a cool citrusiness that was very pleasant. Phew! After that last one, this was JUST what the doctor ordered! I beCAN to get a really minty eucalyptus flavor at some point, very cool, very dry, very satisfying. I beCAN to get really mellow & CANtemplative at some point in drinking this one. That was good since I might have otherwise simply run through it without a seCANd thought since it was just that mellow & easy-drinking. Phew! Finish was cool, dry and minty. Very nice. YMMV.

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop cooler 12-1-18 for $4.25. Canned on 10-11-18; consumed on 3-15-19. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured orange with a beautiful white head that has some great hang time.
Nose has hints of citrus and herbal hops.
Taste is really well balanced between the orange, grapefruit, pine, and melon that is laid over caramel and pale malts. Finishes with a very light bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and pretty smooth in the old school kind of way.
Overall a likable approachable brew that is pretty highly priced for the style. Probably would not do again due to the price point.

On draft, 12 oz tulip glass
Hazy, dark golden color, thin head that fades, but good lacing. Hop aroma is not as strong as hoped. But it is piney and "dank" in nature, just not that bold. Taste is medium bitterness, some caramel malt and those earthy hops. Medium bodied.

Pours a pleasantly rich amber, translucent with a moderate white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Major knocks for a flurry of small white floaties, about the size of grains of cous cous, appear to be setting relatively quickly.
Smell is mountains of papaya, guava, peach and valencia oranges. Really amazing vibrant aroma.
Flavor follows suit with rich fruit juicy goodness. Very peachy, lots of tangerine or mandarine juice. The sweetness leads the way and is dominate but it is nicely balanced by a tail end bitterness that does leave you wanting more. The aftertaste is very pleasantly floral and herbal.
Mouthfeel is very rich and smooth. Juicy in a great way. I could see how this one would start to build up a bit after more than one but it is very pleasant through at least one pint. I also think if this is the style of IPA that you like then I think you will like the feel very much.
Overall this is a very solid modern american IPA. It is juicy and fruity and full bodied and hazy. To me it is a bit much on the sweetness to have more than one at a time but it's certainly flavorful and pleasant enough to drink. For you joosters in the crowd this will probably be a big hit.
