I got a late start on this past Sunday's NBS (Week 774) & I did not finish up my DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure as planned. 8=( Further, I have promised that next week's NBS (Week 775) will be dedicated to the wonderful beers sent to me by @jkblr who seems to have a real handle on my drinking habits. CANsparency is key in these things! As a result, I am going to CANcentrate over the next few days on eradicating everything that would have CANbined to form the finale of the DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure. Sit down, strap in & hang on. It's gonna be a wild ride!

I really wanted to get my hophead cred back & out of revocation so I beCAN by Crack!ing open the vent. I followed this action with a majestic slow, gentle C-Line Glug into my awaiting glass. This paid dividends in a couple of ways: 1) it formed two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with excellent retention all on its own & 2) its color. Color was a gorgeous Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with NE-quality clarity, like liquid sunshine in my glass, summoning forth The Gelt Gang of Midas, Mammon & Croesus for a taste. Nose was magnificent, like liquefied tropical fruit salad with a hint of pine! Yum. I have been jonesing for something like this for the last couple of days! Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was quite fruity, very juicy, CANsisiting of a mélange of tropical fruit flavors, including mango, papaya, guava & passionfruit + a hint of pine mintiness. Swoon! Yum. Finish was dry, hoppy & the perfect CANtidote to all of those tarts & sours. Mmm. YMMV.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that settled down a bit but has good retention properties and consistently left a short head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of mango and citrus hops are present in the nose along with notes of herbs.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of citrusy hops - grapefruit seem to stand out in particular - along with notes of mango and hints of herbs and pine. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness. No alcohol is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and both juicy and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA does a very good job at showcasing the Mosaic hops in both the smell and taste.

Pours as a hazy yellow color with a long lasting sticky white head on top. The smell of the beer definitely has plenty of mosaic hop aroma coming off of it. It’s a juicy beer with a piney finish but not bitter. The feel is smooth and easy going. Overall the a very good IPA!
