i liked the white one a lot, so why not the pink? grenache grapes, raspberries, lemons, i love the flavor, but i could also do without the raspberry, i want this to be more vinous than it is, and the grape, prominent as it is, also gives a little way to the tart raspberry, and a truer expression of the grape would exist without it. lovely pink color, slightly hazy, dull next to the fluorescent can, but duh, fizzy off white head rises up on top. smells and tastes lactic and cleanly tart, with the raspberries and the tannic grape skins coming together very well. the lemon is an accent at best, more zesty than acidic or sharp or anything, pucker is middle of the palate and middle of the spectrum, the refinement is high, and the flavors are very cohesive, even if i wished the grapes were driving this more than they are. youve got to love the branding, the evolution of stillwater, their continued relevance, and the way they always seem to be a step ahead of everyone else, even when its a half gimmick. give me a dozen of these effervescent beer wine spritzer funk beers on a boat any summer day and watch me rule the world! not quite as epic as the white, but money just the same.
