9 years old...
Look - clear dark copper with a really nice light white head but good film, rim and lacing
Smell - tart stone fruit and woody
Taste - sweet and tart with a stone fruit and woody like the smell, great for 9 years old
Feel - medium body with a lighter slightly crisp carb
Overall - shocked how good this is after 9 years!

With a few sour ales under their belt, the Rivertown brewers now leap right out there with their gloves off and their fists a'blazing! This sharply acute beer is fruity, hands-down sour and ultimately thirst quenching.
Its ugly duckling of a pour is a murky gold, straddling amber as a messy rust color greets the eye. With those frothy bubbles expressing fruit, acid and earth; a musty sourness quickly overcomes the nose. But when that elixir hits the tongue, a circus of flavor ensues...
Bright with lemon, lime, crabapple, salty brine and slim sweetness- the saltwater taffy is short and concise while the sour middle quickly dwarfs the middle with cork must an soft burlap. But its those fangs of white wine vinegar and minerally rich character that ultimately sells its taste.
With the finish looming, the sweeter confection sugars fall quickly and allows for the full brunt of lime, light balsamic and sea water to close the beer with a yearning for more... But alas, there is none and the palate is refreshed, clean and dry- this is what a great sour ale does.
