In what's likely to be the strongest "light beer" ever, Lawn Conquerer takes the notion of "lawnmower beer" to a whole new plateau.

With little to suggest otherwise, the lager captures the eye with bright straw in its body and a cottony head to top. But those streams of carbonation release the common floral nature of German lager with a light perfume fruit blossom and honeysuckle. Powdered sugar and grain give further rise to the onset of taste.

From its developing middle palate, earthy straw flavors emerge along with spicy hops and peppery alcohol. As the fruity taste of apple, lemon and melon subside, and carry with it much of the bready malt sweetness; the earthy spiciness grows.

Its prickling effervescence pops off the tongue and highlights those brash alcohols that project a solventy pepper sensation like acetone. Couple that with the hop bitterness and sulfur character and the finish is seriously snappy and crisp.

Lawn Conquerer's fame is in how it captures the dry and crisp finish of proper lager. But with that dryness, a few harsher elements of its utter strength are revealed; unable to hide behind any sweetness, body or complexity.

Pours a brilliant golden straw with a fleeting white head.

Grain and slight sweetness accompany light floral hops and alcohol in the aroma.

Grain and slightly fusel alcohol open the flavor profile, which finishes fairly bitter and grassy. Alcohol really dominates. There's an acetaldehyde character that surfaces.

Body is moderate to massive a touch full, with moderate carbonation and noted alcohol heat.

Over the top with alcohol. Hard to hide behind pilsner malt and noble hops.
