1 PINT 6 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a pokal glass

It looks dark brown in color. I get some copper highlights when I hold it to the light. It was topped with two inches of tan head that was gone before I could type this sentence. There is no lacing.

The aroma consist of caramel, toffee, vanilla, molasses, and chocolate.

It has a sweet taste. It starts out with caramel, toffee, and vanilla. Then the pepper kicks in. It has a little prickly heat. Then it finishes with some mellow bourbon and chocolate flavors.

The mouthfeel is full.

I am really enjoying this beer. This is a malt bomb with peppers. The sweet flavors are complimented by the chili peppers. It's just a well done beer.

22 ounce bottle (label says brewed and bottled at Blank Slate Brewing). Served in a mug, the beer pours a murky copper/brown color with a half inch light tan head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing at all. The brew smells like chili peppers, bourbon, caramel malt, toffee, and vanilla. I think the flavors are pretty much just like the aroma. At first the bourbon tends to overpower the other flavors somewhat, and then as the beer warms up the chilies start to take over. It's not a strong chili pepper heat, but it's certainly noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating and creamy with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, it's one that was better more and more the longer I drank it. Nice version of a dopplebock!

Thanks to crapturds (reddit) for this one, shared with rudzud.

Light fizzy head, fades very quickly, murky super dark molasses mahogany brown color.

Nose brown malt, big sweet candy, toffee, caramel, etc, with plenty of sweet candy bourbon, barrel notes, sweet candy wheat toffee, tons of bourbon, little chili pepper aroma in the background that disappears quickly.

Taste is nice, tons of bourbon that never goes away, nice sweet candy bourbon, with little barrel and vanilla, toffee and caramel candy, fairly sweet. Nice pepper note, instant flash of great initial then turns to nice pepper flavor, generic pepper though. Little booze warmth and tingle, nice juicy bourbon. Finish is nice pepper heat, sticky syrupy candy, more bourbon juice and little barrel and toffee caramel candy.

Mouth is med to heavier bod, nice carb, nice pepper heat and warming tingly booze.
.
Overall very nice, if you like bourbon that is.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a murky muddy hue with a thin off white head that fades to leave wisps.

S - Aromas of bourbon galore, rich doppelbock, Light barrel notes. The chili is very subdued. Loads of bourbon.

T - Taste is smooth mellow bourbon, the malty doppelbock is there very nice, the chili heat is almost non-existent. The bourbon is really, really nice, delicious even. That said, I think the bourbon really masks the doppelbock and chili...The bourbon is almost too good.

M - Mouthfeel is very nice, creamy, alcohol hidden very well.

O - Overall this was a very pleasantly bourbon forward beer. Pretty fun, have yet to have a bad quaff bros beer.
