Nose of bready malt, citrus, tropical fruit, faint spice. Taste light sweet malt, tropical fruit, & caramel slight spice. Medium body with a light dry finish.

Enjoyed this one at the 3rd annual Cincinnati Starkbier Fest. Definitely above average, will seek it out in a bottle. Hard to enjoy in the pouring rain and 45 degrees, but will try again.

Surprise! When I opened this and poured it in the glass I thought, "Oh no, another bogus brew from Cincinasty." But it wasn't, it just looked it. I don't know why so many Cincy area brews are so weak (and so many of them from this end of the state are so good). I think it is (at least partially) the water.
This one doesn't look great in the glass. What little head it has is some big bubbles fizzing. It does keep fizzing. Its pretty cloudy and ugly yellow. The aroma revealed that this was not going to suck. It is a nice, unique hoppy smell - not super heavy, but very pleasant and different.
The taste is a fresh, piney, hoppy blend, with little malt taste. Although it is not particularly complex it is good and big tasting.
The aftertaste is fresh and slightly boozy. I don't know if I will see these again but I might pick up another single or two if I do. Recommended.

This beer features Galaxy hops. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy golden with a fluffy eggshell white head that leaves nice lacing and retention. The aromas are dominated by fresh grapefruit. I'm talking real grapefruit. Some sweet malts in the mix, but the grapefruit dominates. It smells better than it tastes, but it still tastes good. Tons of citrus. Grapefruit dominates once again. Hints of orange and tangerines are there. Hints of fresh grass. Lots of hop flavor, but it doesn't seem too bitter. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Alcohol goes unnoticed.
I'm impressed how realistic the grapefruit notes are. It's actually similar to Grapefruit Sculpin in that sense. I just wish the flavors popped a bit more. This is solid overall and is a great value.

Very strong banana flavor. Almost like a banana that is about to go bad. Not very hoppy but is definitely an ipa.

Very surprised by this beer as this is the first Rivertown beer I've really enjoyed. A successful Single Malt Single Hop beer showcasing one of my favorite hops Galaxy. I'd drink this year round as a regular Go To beer!
