750 mL bottle. Deep red. Smells of deep berries, earthy notes, lots of oak. Tastes quite tart. Tart berries, oak, funky. Dried grass and lots of oak. Low carbonation. Pretty tart, but really good.

A 750ml corked and caged bottle, blend°15, season 18/19, bottled on 13th December 2018. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A lightly hazy dark amber crimson colour with a very thin white head and pretty much no lacing.
Aroma: Blackberry seeds, blackberry jam, wood, with some light funk.
Taste: Tart, lightly sour, blackberry, blackberry seed, lemon zest, wood, and light funk.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with soft to no carbonation.
Overall: Good blackberry aroma and flavours, but my preference is for some carbonation, and there is a distinct lack of it here.

Thanks, Brian!
A brilliant clear dark red, this looks gorgeous. The nose is surprisingly subdued on multiple levels - one, considering the toasted oak, and two, the insane fruit level present. Remaining the more delicate notes of blackberries, along with a note I can only describe as deskinned, deseeded blueberries - soft, fleshy, fruity but not jammy. As it breathes, the toasted oak really comes thru on the back end, a subtle toasted oak with a touch of vanillin. The palate opens delicately lemony with a moderate blackberry note, a blend of earthy, fleshy fruit but remarkably clean and airy. Oak opens up once the beer breathes, complementing the fruit. Drying, tart on the finish with the toasted oak lingering, this is excellent. Completely not what I was expecting
