Yet another 3F bottle poured at the greatest beer sampling ever at Craft (my name for it). I had no idea (I mean I guess kind of) there were so many different plum varieties.

Pours a dirty yellow and light amber color. Smattering of head, up in the 1/9" range which is barely a film that clings to the sides. Aroma of fruit and sourness, lemon, apricot-stone fruitish, and I guess these 'golden' variety plum is what it is.

The taste is a juicier than the normal plum like peak ripeness kind I guess but with a light hit of leather, well done. Lacked the dry mouthfeel of most plum varieties, but the french oak bordeux barrelage seemed to contribute there, balance they say. They keep hitting their stride on a lambic that doesn't go to hard or soft in terms of sourness and acidity. Better abv on this one than the other plum one too. Baby you make the call, tell me how you like it.

Great another beer with a 600something bottle count I really liked. Ugh. Oh well at least SNPA exists everywhere.

Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy dirty yellow color lambic with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of plum notes with some barnyard notes and some tartness is also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of funky ester notes with some nice plumnotes and tartness with some oak notes and light acidity. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Nice complex lambic with nice plum notes and light acidic finish.

A 750ml corked and caged bottle, blend°21, season 19/20, bottle 084/684, bottled on 13th January 2020, and with a best before date of 26th October 2040. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.

Appearance: A very lightly hazy golden orange colour, with a two finger white head that had decent retention and eventually settled to a nice thin fluffy cap, while leaving some lacing.

Aroma: Light plum, plum skin, funky, with some herbal earthy notes.

Taste: Lightly sour, lightly tart, plum, plum skin, dried apricot, funky, leather, oak, earthy.

Mouthfeel: Dry, medium bodied with moderate to soft carbonation.

Overall: Balanced and enjoyable with the plums coming through nicely with the funk.
