'22. 750ml corked and caged bottle into 3F stemware. Pours a pastel, kool-aid orange. Very little head or lace. Nose is funky, puckering. I get grape skin, tomatoes, and prune with a tickling tartness. Vibrant. Beer opens dark grape skin, white peach, and a barnyard and fertilizer funk. Cobwebs and wet wood in the middle while the prominent, tart, fruit presence never fades. Lightly plastic towards the end with a foam and cotton finish. Body is light with ample carbonation. Lively on the palate and dry going down. Long, lingering, puckering finish.
Very solid although I'd prefer a bolder grape presence overall.

Appearance can be amber with a lighter pour, or a bit darker, nearing copper to fruit punch red, with a slightly more disturbed, closer to the bottom of the bottle pour. The short white head makes a brief appearance as a blanket before fizzling out.
The grape influence is very delicate, and the acidity is mild but formidable. Minimal tannins are present, yet plenty of white oak still expresses. The grape is really on the fruitier end, but on the nose does exhibit some of that potent noir kick.
This is a late review because this was poured to us as pinot noir in English, but the beer takes its name from the German term, so I didn't realize it was available to the public until I saw it in the webshop just now and read the description out of curiosity. Still, of course I took notes at the time, just in case, thus the review.

Taste: Lightly sour, tart, grape skin, redcurrant, lemon zest, oak, funk.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Balanced enjoyable aroma and flavours.
