2021-2022 vintage
Very little fizzy head with low retention, slight hazy mostly clear golden tan color
Nose is amazing, lots of souring bacteria funk, a bit of sweet golden malt with mild barnyard funk, a bit of buttery oak and vanilla as well, fresh juicy but tart fruit, grapefruit and lemony like citrus, with a nice fruity sweet white wine and a touch floral,
Taste is also tart and funky, plenty souring bacteria acidity, acetic acid with more citrus fruit grapefruit and lemon like, mild barnyard funk, big juicy fruit again, aside from the citrus some stone fruit peach like note, plenty of white wine soft sweet fruity white wine, a little cake batter, vanilla barrel and buttery oak, good sweetness and tartness balance, drier mild flemmy finish
Mouth is med bod, med carb, fair acidity, smooth alcohol
Overall great beer, very well done, great base sour, good balance, nice Riesling, and oak, great general fruit

Bottle: Poured a golden color lambic with a medium size white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of funky ester with some barnyard notes and some nice grapes and vinous notes. Taste is also a mix of funky barnyard notes with some lightly sweet grape notes and a tart/vinous finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable with a nice mix of vinous and lambic funky notes.

A 750ml corked and caged bottle, blend°50, season 21/22, bottled on 17th March 2022. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A clear golden colour (although some cloudiness appears with multiple pours), with a one finger white head that had pretty good retention, and eventually settled to a ring around the glass, while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Lightly tart, grape skin, white wine grapes, oak, light funk, with a splash of sweet fresh cut green apple.
Taste: Lightly sweet, white wine grapes, pear, oak, with light funk, and a touch earthy.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Easy drinking with good enjoyable aroma and flavours.

A gracious tour pour right next to the maceration tanks at Drie Fonteinen itself, this presented a lightly foggy burnt golden with a short off-white head.
An introduction of fresh and potently floral Riesling is delivered by a soft froth that slowly reveals green olive-like oak that comes to a quite dry finish. A bit of brie rind funk emerges as it warms.
