For this Oude Braamlambik, we blended two different blackberry lambikken that went through a good five months of maceration. We used eleven base lambikken from three different barrels, of which more than half was over five years old before being blended. This brings the weighted average age to more than 31 months. The final fruit intensity is 334 grams per litre. 100% 3 Fonteinen.

I had this on draft 12/12/25 @ the Beer Temple.
See-through purple/red appearance.
Minimal off-white head; minimal lacing remained.
Blackberry, lemon & faint honey notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Blackberry & tart lemon flavors.
Nice, but a little goes a long way.

Had on tap. Cloudy magenta body with a pinkish white head. An explosion of blackberries and funk in the nose! Barnyard and cheesecloth funk in particular stand out. Bright oak, black raspberry, and wild yeast support. Taste has the various berries led by the blackberries in a cool and tart way, with the not so bright wet barrel adding horseblanket funk to the nose funks, hay, wild yeast and slight mineral water support. Feel is tart and funky, tartness wins out overall, cool and light.
