L'Inox "Hoppenweizen"
on tap at the brewery on 4 Octobre 2014
$7 Canadian / pinte
Notes: Listed at 6.2% ABV, it's stronger than a standard weizen but not quite as strong as most weizenbocks. Typical weizen appearance. Very good head retention and lacing. Aroma: Sweet wheat malt and banana/clove with lots of piney, spicy, and grassy hops. The flavor follows but it's drier with a solid bitterness and even more hops than the aroma suggests. Medium bodied with a creamy texture. Well-balanced and rounded. Dry, bitter, hoppy finish.
