19.2 oz. stovepipe can, purchased from Plaid Pantry in West Salem OR.
$3.99.
This is 8% alc and 60 IBU
Pours an ever so slightly hazed, deep burnt orange coloured body. very handsome thick and creamy white head. Some of the best laceing I have seen in an IPA for quite some time.
Aromas are of floral and citrus hop types. Grapefruit, peach and lime zest. A bit of tropical fruits also. Complex.
Taste has all that in the background but has an awesome piney bitterness over laid...calms down a bit at the end. But again a very complex range of tastes. Maybe a bit of raw alcohol showing in the end. But its not too bad.
Mouth feel is good with enough heft and cleansing carbonation to take the alcohol and the range of flavours.
A really nice BUm IIPA.

16oz can
Pours a finger of soapy white head into my Willi glass. Retention is poor and the head fades in less than a minute. Initial lacing looks decent. Body is golden, with some slight orange hues, high clarity, with minimal bubbles coming up. Looks subpar so far.
Nose is lovely, huge punch of tropical fruit, mango, papaya. Big dank notes as well, and even a little spice. A small malty sweetness in the background. Very aromatic, noticeably balanced, and clean. This would seem somewhat par for the course for a hazy, but even within that spectrum, it’s executed very well. I’m pleased to see it applied to a west coast. Wonderful nose.
Flavor is a little bit dwarfed compared to the nose. You do still get most of those nice fruit notes, and a touch of malty sweetness. The dank spicy hops are where you notice the difference, since they are not really present. Nice flavor, but it doesn’t pack the punch that the nose had.
Carbonation is about medium. Somewhat light bodied for a double, which is nice in the sense that it’s not at all cloying, it’s almost crisp, but I don’t need crisp here, and I would hope for a little more body. Sweetness overall is pretty tame, and only peaks up for a nano second, it’s even dry at times with the bitterness bringing that out. Bitterness is medium, but that pushes higher in the finish. Overall a little bit of an odd mouthfeel for the style, would certainly not mind something thicker.
Drinkability is not an issue whatsoever, this goes down very well for 8.5%
Appearance turned out poor, zero lacing.
Overall a wonderful nose, decent flavor, and a mouthfeel that drinks easy but could use a little more body. All in all a nice beer.
