"Light on the hops, big on the flavor this blond ale is made with oats which lend to the beer's smooth creaminess. Rounded out with 2 different hops, the Clem's is one laid back, easy drinking beer."

solid pint of cream ale here at the brewery, gorgeous on nitro, dry and kind of minimal, but so obviously well made, it drinks really easy and fast in warm weather, and really is a perfect patio beer. golden in the glass with two thick inches of the nitro white head, some lace as it drinks, pretty bubbly through it too for a nitro, almost like a mix of carbonation too. slightly floral and bready in the nose, maybe a little earthy corn in here too, a touch of honey to me, biscuit batter. the flavor is grain driven but the yeast is not inconsequential, a lightly baked element to this, dried flowers, graham crackers, its light and its very clean, gone on the swallow and soft as can be on the palate, the execution here is flawless. its refreshing when its cold but it warms up nicely too, hard to make minimal beer this exposed taste so good, they should be proud of this, its well better than its ratings. we had fun here, great patio, clever beers, neat space, cool people. this is as good a cream ale as ive had in a very long time!

On tap at the brewpub in Portland.
Pours was clear golden-amber with a durable head that left plenty of sticky lacing: Impressive for style.
Aroma: subtle, with an about equal mix of hops and malts. Unusually, the hop component carries a lot of citrus.
Flavor: mild but strong for style, withno off-flavors and a relatively strong hop load.
Feel: light and smooth, but carbonation should be softer.
O: Recommended version of the style.

A - Light blonde, with little head.
S - Honey, little wet earth, mild hops.
T - Solid cream ale. As per tradition, this cream ale is lightly hopped, nice oatiness, light citrus and maltiness.
M - The most wonderful aspect of this beer is the smooth, creamy mouthfeel. It really contributes to the overall appeal.
Try this beer with a corned beef on rye and the Portland Timbers on the tele. Or savor it on an indian summer evening on the porch.
