Poured from 19.2oz stovepipe can into a dimpled mug. Date on the can is 12/14/23, which I hope is a canned-on date and not a best-by date.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a light haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: toasty malt aroma with an earthy hop character. There’s kind of a … damp moss aroma present here? Mabye that is making it sound worse than it is. It’s not awful, just not also super great.
Taste: pretty heavily malty with a rather earthy hop character. That kinda musty dampness is present in the flavor, too. Drinkable but not my favorite IPA out there.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a pretty good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: passable, maybe, but not precisely my cup o’ tea.
