375ml bottle poured into Coin Toss Belgian-style tulip
2018 Release
P deep mahogany w/ a bit of translucency; reddish hues; no head and very little carb to speak of other than a thin ring (although I did hear some carb when the cap came off); more of a deep crimson color as I drink through
N med to med-bold well-toasted oak, jammy berry notes, orange marmalade, sour-ish tannic barrel, and some oxidation; not bad at all; sherry/port notes as it opens; chocolate too; complex and inviting
T berry meets toasted/charred oak barrel, light toffee, tannins, with light-med tartness and a bit of heat in the fin; drinks well for 18% though; vinous notes and berry finish; some nuttiness in the aftertaste; very little sweetness
Mf fairly thin, with very soft carb; appropriate for the complexity of the beer and the abv, though
O a complex sipper for sure; really nice nose; although I didn't try this fresh, I'd venture to say it held up reasonably well; RIP Flat Tail.. :(

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
