7 Hill s Pale Ale dry hopped with 2 new varieties of hops, Jarrylo and Experimental #05256. 30 IBUs.
Tap at Peppercorns.
Nice creamy almost frothy 1 finger head fades at a med pace, decent soapy lacing, mostly clear watery straw pilsner color.
Nose interesting Hoppy aroma, different earthy grassy aroma, hint fruity, almost like Americanized kiwi hop, hard to get much else. As it warms a touch of earthy pine resin and mossy notes, I'm pretty much fishing for aromas.
Taste starts with more unique hop notes, starts grassy and a little earthy, into that interesting fruit that's very mild, touch pomegranate like fruit thing, into a hint of a peppery note. Then malts kick in, grainy toasty hops, soft malts with very grainy finish. touch more hop character with little resin and fair to lighter overall bitterness. Finish is drier but a little sticky, touch more resin and grassy earthy fruity notes, bitterness kicks up a bit at first then disappears.
Mouth is med to lighter bod, decent carb.
Overall ok, it's def a session beer, light hops that bring an interesting hop character but a bit too light overall even for a session pale.
